AI visibility tracker comparison

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit vs Peec AI vs Otterly.AI: Which AI Search Tracker Is Right for You?

Choose Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit when its research fits an existing Semrush workflow, Peec AI for a team tracking a defined prompt set, or Otterly.AI for a smaller starting prompt budget. Compare the same prompts, engines and reporting needs: a visibility percentage from one setup is not directly comparable with another setup’s score.

Head-to-head by use case

For a brand team, begin with questions that matter to actual buyers: category discovery, alternatives, comparisons and a specific use case. Keep branded and non-branded prompts separate. A tool cannot make a poorly chosen prompt set representative of the market.

For an agency, check the number of projects, country coverage, client access and reporting rights. A low entry price for one domain can become a different purchase when several clients or regions are involved. API access and automated reporting may also sit above the entry tier.

When to pick each

Pick Semrush when the AI visibility work belongs beside the broader research your team already performs there. The $99 standalone toolkit is not a generic price for every Semrush bundle, and extra domains or prompt packs change the bill.

Pick Peec when its daily prompt tracking, selected-model coverage and collaborative workflow fit the team. Pick Otterly when the smaller Lite prompt set covers the initial questions. Its four included engines do not mean every advertised engine is included at that price.

Compare measurements on equal terms

Use the same prompt wording, market and engine where the products allow it. Record the collection date and distinguish mentions from linked citations. If a service summarizes several answers into one score, inspect the underlying responses before drawing a conclusion.

These tools observe samples of AI answers, not all conversations or a guaranteed share of buyer attention. A change can reflect the prompt set, collection conditions or the model’s own variation. Check repeated observations and relevant pages before deciding that a content change caused an improvement.

A useful first monitoring routine

Choose a manageable set of important questions and record the brands and cited pages in the baseline answers. Investigate gaps where the answer misstates the product, cites an outdated page or repeatedly overlooks a relevant use case. Prioritize corrections that also help a person reading the page.

We have not run paid accounts or compared these services on a shared prompt experiment. There is no measured coverage, accuracy or revenue ranking in this review. A tracker’s recommendation is a lead to inspect, not proof that a proposed page change will cause more recommendations.

Frequently asked questions

Is Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit free?

The official standalone toolkit documentation lists $99 per month and no free trial. Bundle terms are a separate offer.

Which has the lowest listed starting price?

Among the verified paid offers here, Otterly Lite starts at $29 monthly, but its 15-prompt allowance is smaller than Peec Starter’s 50 prompts.

Can I compare visibility scores across tools?

Only after understanding the prompt set, engines, market, collection times and scoring method. Identically named percentages can measure different samples.

Does monitoring improve AI recommendations automatically?

No. Monitoring reveals observations. Changes to content or product information still require a separate decision and follow-up evidence.

Do these plans include every AI engine?

No. Engine selection and add-ons differ. Check the exact engines included in the plan you will buy.
