Help during the conversation

OLVA provides live transcription and contextual meeting assistance from the user’s device. Its product facts describe question detection, live answers and follow-up summaries. Consider it when you want help while a conversation is happening, including Zoom, Meet, Teams and in-person meeting contexts.

It captures device audio without adding a visible assistant to the participant list. That describes how the product joins the workflow; normal participant notice and consent still apply. We have not measured transcription accuracy, latency or answer quality. A short, non-sensitive sample meeting is the appropriate first check before using it for important work.

What the workflow looks like

1. Capture the conversation. Use microphone and system audio on your device. Check capture permissions and the meeting application you use; a vendor-listed platform alone does not establish that your exact setup works.
2. Ask in context. Review detected questions, live answers and suggested follow-ups during the call. Treat generated help as a draft to check against the actual conversation and any source documents you provide.
3. Follow up. Review the transcript and summary afterwards. Check names, decisions and action owners against your own notes before sharing the record.

Plans and the upgrade decision

In a vendor email clarification received September 7, 2026, OLVA confirmed that Basic includes two free hours each month on a recurring basis, with no time-limited trial. The allowance renews monthly while the user remains on Basic. This resolves the ambiguous trial wording previously noted on the pricing page; we have not tested account-level renewal.

The paid figures shown here use annual billing, not monthly-plan quotes. Estimate your normal meeting hours and check what happens when you reach the allowance before choosing a plan. Data, privacy and export

The privacy policy says device audio is streamed to Deepgram for transcription; relevant text and document context may be sent to OpenAI for AI features. OLVA says it does not store meeting audio or video, but does retain transcripts and related text. Selected sources can also be sent to Gamma when a user requests a presentation.

The vendor says customer content is not used to train general-purpose models. Deletion is subject to its retention and backup terms. Review that data path against your workplace rules and test what you can export and delete before storing important meeting records. Bot-free capture does not establish offline processing or a private-by-default workflow.
